On July 1, Asuka Kirara went live on social media to firmly deny allegations linking her to Joo Haknyeon in a prostitution scandal.
She clarified that the gathering in question was a chaotic birthday party with various guests, and she had no prior knowledge Joo Haknyeon would be there.
Kirara dismissed claims of a three-day relationship or physical contact, saying, “It’s true that Joo Haknyeon said he was my fan. But has anyone actually read the article from Shukan Bunshun? It’s all nonsense. There was no three-day relationship. We met for the first time that day. There’s so much misinformation.”

She continued, “I don’t understand how this led to Joo Haknyeon’s removal. I think they just wanted to kick him out or cover something else up.”
She strongly stated, “I never touched or hugged Joo Haknyeon. He’s good-looking, yes, but there was no physical relationship at all. I’m certain there’s more to this story. Even Shukan Bunshun was surprised he got fired.”
She had previously posted on social media, “I have never, in my life, received money for sex. Not now, not ever. A woman at that party who seemed to like Joo Haknyeon took photos and sold them to Shukan Bunshun.”

Meanwhile, on July 2, Gangnam Police Station confirmed that Joo Haknyeon has been cleared of prostitution charges, citing insufficient evidence and a lack of specific grounds for investigation, as the allegations stemmed from media reports.
Previously, a June 18 report alleged he met privately with Kirara in Tokyo, prompting agency OneHundred to announce his departure. Joo Haknyeon denied any wrongdoing and plans to pursue legal action, seeking over 2 billion KRW in damages for defamation.
